More Vintage Star Wars Figures.

Following from one of my previous posts 'Vintage Star Wars Collectables'. I have looked at some of the vehicles that were a massive part of the original trilogy of film and have looked into how much those classic toys are worth.

The toy makers who linked up with the original trilogy managed to bring a large amount of the ships and futuristic vehicle to an audience who could not get enough of the merchandise.

The Millennium Falcon...

Upon a recent visit to an antique shop in the north east of England I came across one of the first Millennium Falcon toys without its box. Although the toy was in good condition, the seller wanted over £200( roughly $250) for the vintage toy. The Millennium Falcon was in a display box, so I could not check its true age and condition. The fact that it was not boxed was disappointing as some markets still sell the boxed version of the Millennium Falcon for a similar price.

To find a mint condition vintage Millennium Falcon is extremely rare and if had that toy, you could ask for quite a bit of money. Even the reissued ship to coincide with episodes I-III still cost a lot of money. That is amazing considering that the original episode releases are still two decades older than the re-imagining/reissues.

The X-Wing Fighter...

This toy spaceship came with an R2 unit situated behind the cockpit. The four winged rebel fighter had detachable cannons on the edge of the wings. There was also battle damage stickers on the ship to It also had a landing foot that was retractable so that you could recreate space battles and moments from when Luke was on the planet Dagobah.

The average price of a second hand and out of the box X-Wing is £200-300, that is around $300. Of course you may find them on bid sites and if you are lucky, you may snap one up for considerably less. For a mint condition X-Wing in box, you would expect to pay anything above the $500/600 range. But given the rarity of these toys now, the price of this toy just keeps on rising.
